Haysobay – listen

May 29, 2009

Here’s a great treat for a friday afternoon with the right attitude. Chuck Wild made this incredible mix of African tunes specifically for an event that went down last Sunday to raise education funds for Liberian refugees living in Ghana. You can get more information about the organization at www.lydiaafrica.org

I hope we all can find inspiration to make art for good and share with others.

Here’s the beautiful mix

Each time Mochilla puts out a project, I’m always inspired and motivated to make art. Their taste in music, art, culture and people, have always been educated, and beautiful. I’m love their work and look forward to more.

Top choice 1977 synthpunk track from self titled ablum by the Suicide. These guys would prove as influential as The Clash. These guys emerged alongside the early punk scene in New York City. Keep it on reply!.

Simon Blackfoot art show

Simon Blackfoot art show

Simon Blackfoot, is Parishil Studio co-owner Alain Parizeau’s creative alias. Inspired in short by a month long canoe trip in the northern Yukon. Simon’s art encapsulates the beauty and romantisicism of the Northern Frontier. A time when a mix of pioneers, mountain men, and natives all coexisted during a time of exploration, and the promise of wealth and adventure. The show reflects the simple beauty of the nature and the bold characters that live in that part of Northern Canada.
